Etor Daniel has described his move to the Oman Professional League club, Al-Nasr, has a dream move.

The former ABS, Niger Tornadoes, striker in an exclusive chat with Sportlineng expressed his delight in his move away from Nigeria calling it ‘the dream of every player’.

“I am very happy because it is the dream of every player to play abroad especially African players. I thank God for his grace upon my life for making my dreams a reality.”

Etor Daniel endured a turbulent 2016-17 season following his move from Enyimba to Rangers, but the striker who was accused by the Flying Antelopes’ fans for not showing enough said he has no ill feelings towards anyone that the criticisms have helped him become a better player.

“I am a hard working professional, the incident between Rangers fans and I have only pushed me to work even harder to become a better me. I appreciate their fans and the fans of all the clubs I played for in Nigeria.”

The 2015 Nigeria Professional Football League winner with Enyimba who was on the pitch for entire duration on Wednesday as Al-Nasr secured a 2-0 win over Oman Club in their first league game of the season described his first game as not good enough even though he assisted a goal.

“It is a good thing that you perform well in your first game as it will boost your morale, I wasn’t happy that I didn’t score but I am grateful to God that I was able to assist one of the goals we scored.”

The 24-year-old striker who has represented Nigeria at the U-20, U-23 and played for the Home-based Eagles said he would love to play for the Super Eagles but he is fully focused on helping his new club Al-Nasr achieve its goals and waits to see what happens.

“Right now, I just want to continue working hard even more than I did while playing in Nigeria, score more goals and help my team achieve the set goals this season.

“Playing for the Super Eagles is one of my dreams having played for the U-20, U-23 and CHAN Eagles, but I am not going to force that, right now my focus is on Al-Nasr and I will let my performances do the talking.”
