Oliseh: I was building something big for Super Eagles before the problems
The manager of Dutch Eerste Divisie side Fortuna Sittard, Sunday Oliseh, has said he was building something big for the Super Eagles before the union ended suddenly.
The former Super Eagles player and manager who is on the verge of taking the lowly Fortuna Sittard to the Eredivisie in an interview with a German international broadcaster Deutsche Welle talked about how the NFF frustrated his plans.
The former Ajax, Juventus midfielder said problems with the Nigeria Football Federation did not allow him to accomplish his plans with the Super Eagles.
“I gave them my terms, I got the contract, it was promising.
“My philosophy was to get young professional players, mould them into modern playing style.
“In my 14 games in charge of the national team, we lost twice, all of a sudden things went wrong, financial problems and I was been owed my wages”.
Barely a month in charge of the Super Eagles before his resignation, Sunday Oliseh had a record of (Only 2 losses) 19 Goals scored, 6 conceded in 14 Games.
