Lewis Hamilton ‘not worried’ about Friday’s pace

Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he is not worried about his car’s pace during the Friday practice sessions, after teammate Nico Rosberg clocked in the fastest times.

Despite having a high-speed tyre-blowout, the German-Mercedes driver was still able to clock in the quickest time during second practice and believes that his teammate will adopt the same set-up when it comes to Saturday’s qualifying.

However, despite being off the pace, Hamilton is content with his car’s performance during practice and is confident he can find the time to catch his current-championship rival.

“Nico is very quick so I’ll just do some work tonight and see if I can find some more time. But I am not particularly worried,” Hamilton told Sky Sports News.

“It was generally a good day. No problems, great fun, nice that the weather was good. Overall the track has such a good flow so I enjoyed it.”

Hamilton currently holds a 21-point lead over Rosberg in the race to become Formula 1 champion.
