‘Serie A more balanced’ - Marcello Lippi

Marcello Lippi believes Serie A is ‘more balanced’ this season, but cautions against writing off Juventus.

The Bianconeri have lost their first two games of the season, the first time that has occurred since Italy has had a national League.

However, the former Juve Coach does not believe the Old Lady should be counted out.

“The first feeling is that the League is more balanced,” Lippi admitted in an interview with Premium Sport.

“Roma have made two or three good buys, but let’s not forget Napoli, and, of course, Juventus.

“I think it will be an open League, but let’s not forget Juventus have won the last two Scudetti with a gap of at least 15 points, so six points can’t be considered frightening.

“Juve will definitely fight to win as they always have, I’m not saying they’ll do it, but they’ll certainly improve.”
